Back in the NES days games that were localized for American audience heavily censored any overt Judaeo-Christian imagery or reference to death. Churches no longer featured crosses, the Death spell was renamed to “RUB”, and the Kill spell was renamed to “XXXX”.

So probably not clear from title but I’d say this is a Linux problem. Basically I’m using sbctl to sign the cachyos kernel on fedora since it eeks out a little performance and also as I understand it it uses a slightly differently scheduler so my computer doesn’t lock up when hitting a steam download hard. I’ve only just started getting the error recently so I’m assuming it’s related to the MS secure boot key stuff that happened in June. I have confirmed that using the default provision from my mobo doesn’t trigger the vanguard error. Trying to figure out a solution, otherwise I guess I have half a mind to just nuke shitty windows forever again. I’ll take either an alternative solution to the cachyos kernel or a solution to the keys. What I don’t understand is doesn’t sbctl enroll the default keys from your mobos firmware anyway? Is this simply that ANY modification to my secure boot keys is somehow a problem with vanguard now? Thanks all!

Has anyone here been able to get vortex running on fedora/bazzite?

I wanted to give gate to sovngarde a try, and was following the Linux tutorial on their site, but things quickly fell apart when I couldn’t get steam tinker launch to get vortex running. It would throw out a “downloading” then “installing” popup, and then nothing would happen. Vortex appears to be installed in my Skyrim prefix, but STL just get caught in this loop of downloading and installing.

CoQ’s main quest inevitably forces you to delve into Golgotha (ancient sewers or something like that) to retrieve a broken robot. Black slimes dwell there and they will likely afflict you with “stiff legs”. And then after some time your movement speed will start decreasing while your armor will increase.

I am and always was a casual gamer, I like playing puzzles, strategy and builder games, sometimes I play with friends some 7 days to die or AoE2. I am on Linux Mint for more than a year now and was surprised how easy gaming was. From time to time I had problems with weird DirectX error messages, but all in all everything just worked.

However, I’ve got some software that I want to use that’s Windows-only, and I’d rather not replace them and re-learn from scratch. As we’re heading into the age of digital only downloads and more people start to scavenge for physical media, I was wondering if there is a list out there that catalogues if the game doesn’t need any downloads, patches or internet connection. I assume starting during the ps4 era it became more common place to only have partial data on physical media. I’d love to know what will be worth collecting/searching for in the future and what will potentially just serve as a frisbee.

Kinda vague title, but I was trying out some of the Atelier games recently and while I do find the crafting interesting, I can’t stand the “slice of life"/CGDCT style they have. Yumia seems to be a bit more interesting but the gameplay is too simple and balancing seems to not take into account the crafting system, which makes it really unsatisfying to play.
