Charity bids to return four ‘architects of the wild’ species to the Highlands

The lynx, the auroch*, the beaver and the red squirrel. 2 of them already here and 1 extinct so no idea about the headline!

Lots of concern about the wildcat if Lynx were to be released, so that unlikely to happen. And we alreary have loads of coos aboot the hills
Just shoot most the deer, this will have a far bigger effect than anything else. We can leave them on Rhum and reintroduce to Scotland when we have out forest and wolves back

To explain the two that are already here, the charity’s own piece says that they’re aiming to introduce those species to areas that they can’t get to by themselves or would take a very long time to get to. They’ve got an ongoing thing where they relocate red squirrels to bits of the northwest Highlands where they’re currently absent
